The Role of LPK OTC Bali in Instilling the Value of Green Entrepreneurship in Trainees

This study aims to analyze the role of OTC Bali Training Center (Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja/LPK OTC Bali) in instilling green entrepreneurship values among training participants, how these values are perceived by the participants, and the challenges encountered in the internalization process. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consist of training center managers, instructors, and training participants. Data analysis was conducted thematically, following Creswell’s qualitative approach. The findings indicate that LPK OTC Bali plays an active role in integrating green entrepreneurship values through curriculum development, training practices, the habituation of environmentally friendly behaviors, and the utilization of learning technology innovations. Since 2022, LPK OTC Bali has implemented a digital learning application that contains all training materials, eliminating the use of printed module books. The use of this application enhances learning efficiency, reduces paper consumption, and strengthens the internalization of environmental sustainability values. The participants perceive green entrepreneurship as a combination of environmental responsibility, work ethics, and sustainable business opportunities, although the level of value internalization varies among participants. The main challenges include differences in participants’ backgrounds, limited training time and facilities, participants’ dominant orientation as job seekers, and the lack of optimal support from the sustainable tourism industry ecosystem. This study emphasizes the strategic importance of training institutions in developing tourism human resources oriented toward technology-based green entrepreneurship to support sustainable tourism development.
