A quantitative approach with an explanatory method was employed in this research. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to Shopee Indonesia employees working as Level 1 (L1) Agents at the Yogyakarta branch office, who handle chat inquiries from sellers. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the assistance of the SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that both work schedule distribution and work-life balance have a significant influence on employee retention. In addition, work schedule distribution and work-life balance also significantly affect job satisfaction. Job satisfaction itself is proven to influence employee retention and serves as a mediating variable between work schedule distribution and work-life balance on employee retention.
